Coastal Path
13th September 2026
A charcoal drawing of the coastal path near Thurlestone in Devon. Charcoal is an enjoyable medium, easy to work with and incredibly forgiving. However, it’s messy and difficult to store. The materials used included a half sheet of hot-pressed watercolour paper, vine charcoal, charcoal pencils, a blending stump and various erasers including a Tombow mono eraser for fine lines.
