Digital Watercolour

A digital watercolour of Hope’s Nose with Berry Head beyond, finished in Rebelle 8, has me constantly amazed by the functionality of art apps. For example, Rebelle captures the unpredictability of watercolour through its screen movement and blending. Just like real water, there’s no way to predict the outcome and all happy accidents are welcome. More control is achieved by adjusting the digital brush size and water flow both on the surface and within the brush. This includes ‘quick drying’ the surface, the digital equivalent of a hairdryer.
