The Eagle Stone

While sorting through the garage paintings box, I came across a canvas sheet divided into four postcard sized sketches of the Eagle Stone on Baslow Edge in the Peak District . These were completed in 2024 and I had just started painting with oils. I then used the sketches for larger oil and watercolour versions. I now look at three of the sketches and see how these are far more expressive than the tighter finished paintings.
