Langstone Rock

This digital painting of Langstone Rock, viewed from Dawlish Warren, was created using Procreate on the iPad. I employed the quoll brush and built the scene with several layers. Key shapes were isolated using selections and a large brush applied colour and texture. Details were added with a smaller brush size, mirroring a traditional painting process. While digital offers the flexibility to quickly delete anything that doesn’t work, careful merging of layers is necessary as this action limits the scope for corrections.
