A digital painting based on a photograph taken yesterday afternoon on the Southwell Trail looking in the direction of Lockwell Hill. It had been very hot during the day with some heavy drop showers and this scene shows the clouds building from the west.
This sketch adds to a growing collection of local scenes painted in Procreate using one brush (the quoll brush) and one or two layers, as appropriate. I find working in this way as the most immediate form of art that allows me to quickly capture my surroundings, as I might do with photography. The next step would be painting outdoors on the iPad?
