Loose Yachts

My recent post about sketching boats reminded me of a watercolour painting of yachts at sea I completed over a year ago. It was a loose interpretation from an art club reference, capturing the yachts with fluid shapes. This contrasts with the rather tight sketches I made the other day. While they’re quite different exercises, I see them as part of a broader exploration of how to do my art. No firm answers yet!
