Millstones, High Neb

Below High Neb on Stanage Edge are number of groups of abandoned millstones. Some are propped up against each other with others lying flat on the ground. Photographically they make excellent foreground interest and the compositions are numerous.
In a couple of months many of the stones will be smothered in green ferns but this time of year the old growth has a rich ginger hue particularly in late evening light. During this visit I took quite a few images from mid afternoon to dusk and these are some of results:
