Master Study

Following up on yesterday’s post, I’ve recently completed a master’s study of a Rowland Hilder coastal scene. This type of study helps me develop ideas as I adapt to living by the sea in Devon.
Artists like Rowland Hilder are masters of simplification, capturing details with just a few brush marks. I find this incredibly challenging and it demands constant study and practice. I have a bin full of attempts to prove it!
