Coastal Path

A scene looking towards the coastal path in Holcombe, Devon. Painted with oils on a 10x8 canvas board. This was an exercise in minimising the use of white paint to avoid the chalky colours I achieved in my first version (not shown here). Titanium white was used for the lightest tones in the sky with other areas lightened with Naples yellow and lemon yellow for the greens.
