This is my first outdoor oil painting of the year. I had been expecting some late afternoon sunlight but it stayed overcast and grey. At least it didn’t rain for a change!
After an hour it was too cold to continue so I only managed to get some basics down on an 8x6 board. The scene is the River Teign and Shaldon Bridge. I found a quiet stop that I will return to when the weather improves and hopefully with more time I will do a better job!
