River Teign at Low Tide

A quarter sheet size watercolour of the River Teign at low tide on Saunders Waterford (NOT) paper. This painting was completed in approximately 45 minutes, not that I say this to be clever, but I find some subjects work best when the watercolour is placed and left alone, without fussing over accuracy and detail. This is especially true when preserving large highlighted areas like wet sand. That said, the detail of the reflected mast is crucial in creating the impression of wetness.
